The variable gain amplifiers listed above provide two gain states. The gain is selected via an external DC pic that utilizes a TTL control signal.

The variable gain amplifier above provides infinite gain levels between 25 and 45dB via an analog DC control voltage ranging from 0 to 6 volts.

Attenuation Control: (External Resistor) The amount of gain attenuation is controlled by the value of the resistor placed between the control pin and ground. Typical values yield the following results. Resistor values in Ohms: 260 = -1dB, 147 = -2dB, 101 = -3dB, 78 = -4dB, 63 = -5dB |
The variable gain amplifier above provides 30dB of gain with up to 5dB of attenuation control. The amount of attenuation is selected by placing a resistor between the control pin and ground. This type of amplifier is useful if fine gain calibration adjustments are required in a system.
